"Rekindle the Spirit"
2011 Spring Camp-o-ree
MARCH 25-27th, 2011
Bates Allen Park, Kendleton, Texas
|
This District camping activity is designed to give new and seasoned scouts an opportunity
to experience the traditional values of scouting as well as enjoy unique challenges
through competition.
The theme emphasizes a renewed commitment to the values of the Boy Scout program.
The “spirit” represents the ideals of Scouting as expressed through the Scout Oath,
Law, Motto and Slogan.
Through fellowship and competition, participants are encouraged to demonstrate their
knowledge of personal fitness, scoutcraft skills, patrol spirit, and leadership.
A program synopsis will be available in advance to provide Troops and Patrols opportunities
for EDGE teaching and practice in advance of the Camp-o-ree.
Troops are encouraged to enter existing Patrols of (6-10) boys. To provide fair
competition, Patrols will be divided into three divisions, based on the average
rank levels of the patrol members.
The program will include events for individuals, patrols, and Troop-wide entries.
